Cherise C. Bowleg specialises in Civil and Commercial Litigation and also practises extensively in Maritime and Admiralty Law, the law relating to Industrial Relations and Employment Law, Family Law, the law relating to Banking and Compliance and, Intellectual Property Law.

Cherise obtained an Associates of Arts Degree in Psychology from the College of The Bahamas and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. She further earned a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons.) from the University of Essex in Colchester, England and completed Bar School at the University of West England, Bristol in Bristol, England. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2006, and to The Bahamas Bar one month later.

Cherise became an Associate at Higgs & Johnson following completion of her pupillage with the firm in 2008.
