Ms. Gina M. Berry has considerable expertise in the
areas of Conveyancing and Real Property law, Probate
and Estate Administration, Planning and Development
law. She also carries on a general commercial
practice with some expertise in the area of Maritime
law involving Cayman Islands registered ships. Ms.
Berry represents many of the "Class A" Banks in the
Cayman Islands and also conducts a full real estate
practice servicing a wide range of international and
local clients. Ms. Berry holds Bachelors' Degrees
(Hons) in Arts and Law from the University of the
West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate from
the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica. She was
admitted as an Attorney-at-Law to the Jamaican Bar
in 1995 and to the Cayman Bar in 1999.
Ms. Berry was a Director and head of the Real
Estate/Property Department at Truman Bodden &
Company until the merger with Higgs & Johnson on
January 1st, 2009, whereupon she became a Partner at
the firm.
Ms. Berry is a member of the Cayman Islands Law
Society, the Jamaica Bar Association, Past President
of the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens, Grand Cayman
and an Executive Committee Member of the Consulate
of Jamaica in the Cayman Islands. She also serves on
the Maritime Sector Consultative Committee of the
Cayman Islands and is a Notary Public for the Cayman
Islands. |
